About us: Damen Digital's creative director René Damen is originally from the Netherlands. After six years of teaching High School and writing three musicals, --two more as a freelance playwright--, he became full time involved in computer software & digital music production. For a few years he ran an advertising agency in Amsterdam, where he picked up the basics of marketing and graphic design; meanwhile he worked on documentaries (narrations, voice-overs, film scores) with his brother Ernie, and on a Children's TV-show; he is still involved in the software-business he started in 1982.-- Later in life, under the name Damen Digital, he began to diversify and branching out into audio/video post production, interactive media and web site design, after he moved to the US and settled in Maine. There he runs a lodging business where he does his digital media work as well. Recent activities include offering the postproduction "OneTrack-Post"-package, from editing to graphic design and marketing. For music production, he is often assisted by his son Lucas Damen, who obtained certification in sound engineering. Luc is a composer in his own right and is involved in several musical projects such as Projekt Manticore and The Amalgamation of Noise.
